At a time when making things costs almost nothing, most people still won’t make much. People gravitate toward convenience and curated taste more than they will ever admit. For them, having too many options is a burden, not liberating. While some may enjoy starting with building blocks and endless possibilities, a lot of people just want something great, already made, something with good taste.

So have an opinion, be assertive, say “yeah, my way of doing it is better”, use that taste of yours to offload those decisions from them, until it, too, becomes commoditized.
